Recover a Deleted Folder
-
Find and select the deleted folder to
be restored in the Active@ Floppy Recovery
-
The process of restoring the contents of the folder with files and subfolders
is the same as described in the previous section on restoring deleted files.
Run the Recover command by one of the following methods:
-
Click the Recover button on the toolbar
,
or
-
Right-click the file, and then choose Recover from the context
menu
-
Select a drive and a folder, where the restored folder will be saved, from the
Browse for Folder dialog
-
After the recovery process is complete, make sure that the results are correct
by verifying the contents of the files and subfolders
Important
For the safety reasons, the utility warns you if you are trying to write the
restored folder back into the same floppy drive. A newly created folder might
overwrite the folder under recovery (or a part of it), or the contents of the
other deleted files. Always restore files and folders to hard drive or another
removable, or network drive.
Note
Grey icon means
that deleted file or folder has a good chance of recovery
Black icon means that
deleted file or folder has a poor chance of recovery because it has been
overwritten (or may be partially overwritten) on the disk
